Neon Signs [Tucson, AZ]

Tucson, AZLast night’s Sock Hop at Pima Community College celebrated the lighting of four 1950s-era neon signs. The signs are on the south side of Drachman Street, between Stone and 10th Avenues. Best to admire the colors and designs in the dark.

New Images

Leica C11 – a small, smart print film camera.

Since my box camera days, I’ve taken hundreds and hundreds of images – b&w prints, slides, SLRs, digital – street photography, travel, and portraits. In my darkroom, I spent hours, perhaps years, lost in time. At the Worcester Center for Crafts, I took classes with Peter Faulkner.  In Tucson, Lou Bernal tolerated no sniveling during my three photography semesters at Pima Community College.  (A “thank you” to Leonard Yablick, science teacher at Arts High School, who led the Photography Club as an after-school activity.)

My intention with the Leica C11: Play with organic materials and take a few photos.
